Minimal design isn’t about removing things — it’s about keeping only what matters. Here’s my approach to clean interfaces.
1. Start with Purpose
Every element on the page should have a reason to exist. If it doesn’t serve the user’s goal, remove it. This is harder than it sounds because we get attached to our work.
2. Typography First
Great typography is 90% of good design. Choose a type system (I use Geist), establish a clear hierarchy, and let the text breathe. Generous whitespace makes everything feel intentional.
3. Color with Restraint
Limit your palette. A neutral background, one accent color, and maybe a highlight. The more colors you add, the more noise you create. My site uses exactly one accent color (blue) and two neutrals.
